Foggy day, summer's here early.

I left work a little early today. Generally, I'm in a hurry to get home so that I can get dinner started. My lady is running some errands after work, and she's going to pick up some food too, which means I'm off the hook for dinner detail. I was going to try to get home early and do some maintenance on the bike(s), but I made a last second decision to take the scenic route by the bay.

It was an unseasonably cool day, sort of like a summer day really. Yes, I wrote that correctly. It was a cold, summer-like day: the temperature topped out in the low 60's and the fog rolled in around 5p. Anyway, I don't often take the opportunity to ride along W.Cliff; there are usually a lot of walkers and joggers, people watching the surfers, and of course, slow drivers who are looking at the scenery and not at the road. (I can't blame em' though because I'm doing the same thing on my bike.) It's great on the foggy days like today because nobody's around except the sea otters and a few surfers. Speaking of sea otters, I saw a couple on the ride home. They're wonderful creatures, and I feel really lucky to live in an area where I can observe endangered sea mammals on my commute. Tomorrow's forecast looks the same as today's, so I'll probably ride W.Cliff again (and bring a camera). Ride safely and happy trails.
